Super Bowl LI itself may have been a real winner – especially for Patriots fans, but there weren’t any particularly clear champs for us in the ad game. Movie trailers and car company ads only fueled what we can arguably call one of the least exciting Super Bowl advertising years.
However, there was still plenty of talk this morning about which ads stood out for us. Here are our five favorites:
Bai
Come on! We don’t drink the stuff, but Christopher Walken delivers like FedEx in this one. And the look on JT’s face says it all. Might not recall the product afterward, but this one was our first big laugh of the ad game.

Buick
Sure, we’ve got a soft spot for our home team QB, but this Buick spot was a hit. When Cam lined up under center we didn’t know what to expect, and we were more than pleasantly surprised with the results.

Avocados from Mexico
These guys get us every year, it seems. This go round, they did it with a secret society meeting that pays off with a Jon Lovitz cameo.

Budweiser
Sadly, no puppies this year, but this coming to America bit from Budweiser was a winner in our books. Despite all the twitter rants to the contrary.
84 Lumber
Truth of the matter, the struggle is real for lots of folks trying to make a better life here. An ad originally declined by FOX, a post-run swamp of your company website, mentions aplenty afterwards? Win.
