There’s that stretch between spring and fall where it seems like there’s a road race or charity run nearly every weekend. And then suddenly, there aren’t. Having played some part in many of these events over this year — and many others — it always comes down to this: the Novant Health Charlotte Marathon.
We’re thrilled again to be on the team that puts together this end-of-season celebration of running and runners. Look for us at the finish line, cheering you all on. Thanks to all the supporters and sponsors. See you at the after party
Charlotte — Thousands of runners hit the streets — and the hotels, restaurants, and shops — when the Queen City hosts the sold out Novant Health Charlotte Marathon on Saturday, November 16. More than 6,000 runners will participate in the full marathon, half marathon, marathon relay, 5K, and one-mile fun run events.
“We’re thrilled to have reached capacity for the marathon and the relay,” said Tim Rhodes, Race Director for the Novant Health Charlotte Marathon. “The support of the running community shows there’s clearly the desire to make room for more runners in this event.”
The marathon and marathon relay sold out this week. Registration for the half marathon, 5K, and fun run distances will remain open through the close of the November 15 Health and Wellness Expo. There is no race day registration.
Runners can expect a race with plenty of iconic Charlotte views, as the course winds through uptown, Dilworth, Wilmore and the Gold District, the Plaza, NoDa, and South Charlotte. Among other runner amenities like an easier-to-use, self-serve registration portal, this year’s marathon features an Elite Runners’ Program and prize money.
