No debating who won the game. Brady and the Patriots’ comeback will be on to talk about for years. And on the topic of who won the Super Bowl ad game, we’re pretty sure there’s a clear winner there, too. Just maybe not on the actual big screen.

Yes, that whole, “Mr. Clean goes sexy” thing kinda creeped us out, too. Honestly. It’s 2017 and all. The whole soap-opera-daydreaming-housewife bit is a dated, and sexist, washed-up characterization of women. But despite themselves, we think the brand Mr. Clean-ed up in real time, trolling other Super Bowl advertisers on social media.
.@skittles Funny ad, but who’s gonna clean up after all the Skittles they missed? #MrClean #SB51

In the days and weeks leading up to the Super Bowl, we always cringe at the retelling, rehashing, and reminiscing, of Oreo’s “dunk in the dark” during the Super Bowl blackout, and how advertisers and brands struggle for that real time win. Congrats, Mr. Clean. You get our nod this season.
